Hoosier Hoods was featured in Street Rodder magazine in their August 1981 issue. At that time, George had an employee named Dave working for him, and both are prominate in the article. Below is a picture of the cover and article. (If you would like to see full versions of the pictures, please click on them.) Here is the write up: " (By Geoff Carter) It was my qualified pleasure to pay a brief visit to Indiana last summer. I missed a flight, lost my suitcase (with film inside), skipped a night's sleep, and arrived on the front end of the midwest's humid summer. One of the redeeming points of this stop in the hop was some good old Hoosier Hood hospitality. I got quite a bit of running back and forth across the shop that day because, while Dave was demonstrating the production of their new headlight bar, George Dillman was punching 88 louvers in the hood of Thom Taylor's El Camino. Advertising nationally and exhibiting at major street rodding events has kept them plenty busy for a few years. They have recently expanded their line by adding the Banjo Man steering wheels, Posies' springs, and Gardner Wescott stainless steel hardware, plus several chrome engine and chassis parts which Dave displayed and sells direct or by mail order. Besides stock hoods for 1928-1932 Fords, George will make a special unit if you choose to use a Duece grille on a "A-model" or to fit just about any custom situation. He'll also sell you the hinges, latches, nuts and bolts. For a complete listing of their accessory line, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Hoosier Hoods, 2209 Salisbury Rd So, Richmond, IN 47374. And thanks for the lemonade, Mrs. Dillman!"
